Bhojshala Survey: The idols and other remains coming out during the survey being conducted in Dhar’s historical Bhojshala Kamal Maula Masjid will prove that the decision as to who should ultimately have authority over the disputed building has to be taken by the Honorable Court, but recently during the survey here it was found that A statue which is said to be of Gautam Buddha. Regarding this, now apart from Hindu and Muslim community, Buddhist community is also staking their claim for the ownership of Bhojshala Kamal Maula Masjid under ASI.

As soon as information was received about the statue of Gautam Buddha in the disputed building, the Buddhist society and the Buddhist organization submitted a memorandum to the administration officials in the name of the President, demanding that the statue of Gautam Buddha, which was found during the survey in Bhojshala Kamal Maula Masjid, be installed in the disputed building. It should be renamed as Buddhist Shala and to celebrate Buddha Purnima on 23 May 2024, permission should be given to offer Buddhist prayers throughout the day at Bhojshala Kamal Maula Masjid.

Let us tell you that on the orders of Indore High Court, the survey team of ASI is continuously engaged in finding the history of the disputed building since March 22 regarding the monopoly of the disputed Bhojshala Kamal Maula Masjid of Dhar. Today was the 49th day of the survey. Today 14 ASI officers along with 22 laborers conducted a survey in Bhojshala Kamal Maula Masjid.

Apart from the sanctum sanctorum of the building, the ASI survey team is carrying out the work of removing soil and leveling the wall in the west to south area. Apart from this, soil removal work was done in the north, north-central and north-east. If we talk about the sanctum sanctorum of the building, there too the excavation is being done inside from east to west.

The foundation of the wall that is visible during the excavation has not yet been seen, now it has to be seen how deep the excavation that is being done from east to west can go. During the survey, a large amount of remains were also found from different places in Bhojshala Kamal Maula Masjid.

According to Pandit Gopal Sharma of the Hindu side, the remains found in the ongoing survey since March 22 are further strengthening the claim of the Hindu side. Most of the remains found here have been found to be related to Sanatani religion.

Meanwhile, Abdul Samad from the Muslim side raised questions on the remains that are coming out and said that it is possible that the material may have been brought here at some time and it is not a part of the construction of the monument.
