Bharatpur:- Bharatpur’s budding cricketer Karthik Sharma has surprised everyone by scoring a explosive century in his very first match in Ranji Trophy. In this match of Ranji Trophy organized by BCCI in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, this right handed opener from Bharatpur, showing the strength of his game, not only scored a century but also remained not out after scoring 113 runs till the end of the day’s play. During this, Karthik faced only 114 balls and hit 11 fours and 6 skyscraper sixes. With this brilliant innings, Karthik has become the first player in the history of Bharatpur district to score a century in his debut match of Ranji Trophy.

Bharatpur District Cricket Association Secretary Shatrughan Tiwari described this achievement as a milestone in the sports history of the district and said that Karthik has increased the prestige of Bharatpur. According to him, the entire district is proud of Karthik’s success and this has infused a new energy among the young cricketers of Bharatpur. To make this occasion special, on behalf of District Cricket Association Bharatpur, S.R. A special celebration was organized on the grounds of the Cricket Academy. Association officials and players distributed sweets on Karthik’s achievement and huge fireworks were also done.
