Bharatpur News Today: Three women climbed on a water tank in Halena town of Bharatpur district of Rajasthan today. After getting the information, police and administration officials reached the spot and tried to convince the women, but the women kept demanding to remove the encroachment from the tank.
After a long time, the women agreed to come down from the sky water tank. The women who climbed the sky water tank said that there is a very old pond in their town. Water from all the houses in the town goes to this pond, but now people have encroached illegally all around the pond.
Women climbed on the sky tank in protest
Due to which the dirty water of the town starts filling up in the pond and overflowing. Women said that this dirty water coming from the town starts entering the houses built around the pond.
Due to the foul smell coming from the water, it is becoming difficult for the people living nearby to live there. Due to this dirty water, poisonous insects enter the houses during the rainy season, which always poses a danger.
‘No action was taken even on the complaint’
Along with the women who were protesting by climbing on the sky tank, other people also reached the spot and started protesting. The people protesting say that the dirty water of the houses goes into this pond through the drains of the town. Due to encroachment, the water overflows from the pond and enters the houses.
The local people have complained to the officials many times to remove the encroachment, but no official listened to their complaint. Therefore, today the women were forced to climb the water tank to demand their rights.
The administration gave this assurance
On receiving the information about the women climbing the water tank, the Tehsildar of Vaira Tehsil Mahesh Sharma also reached the spot. On the spot, Tehsildar Mahesh Sharma said that three women had climbed the water tank demanding removal of encroachment from the pond.
Tehsildar Mahesh Sharma said that efforts have been made to convince the women who climbed the Akashiya water tank. After two days, the encroachment will be demarcated and removed. After persuasion, the women have come down from the water tank. Necessary legal action will be taken on Monday after measuring the pond.
