Rajasthan Operation Anti Virus: Bharatpur Range Police is running ‘Operation Anti Virus’ since March 1. Today (Wednesday) Deeg police got a big success under Operation Anti Virus. A team of five police stations raided Mewat area and arrested 23 cyber thugs. The accused have made illegal earnings of crores of rupees by cheating more than 1000 thousand people in different states. The police is busy interrogating the arrested cyber thugs.
Inspector General of Police, Bharatpur Range, Rahul Prakash said that due to operation anti-virus, cyber crime has reduced by about 34 percent in two months. Nearly two dozen cyber thugs were caught in the two-day operation.
Police also recovered 46 mobile phones and SIMs used in the crime from the arrested accused. Police is busy locating other members of the cyber thug gang. Rahul Prakash told that to break the back of cyber criminals, police teams of Sikri, Pahari, Jurhara, Kaithwara and Deeg Kotwali police stations were formed.
Police in action against cyber thugs
It is noteworthy that Mewat area of Deeg district is a haven for cyber criminals. Cyber fraud incidents occur from Mewat in 15 states of the country. Cyber criminals invent new methods of fraud. People are misled through advertisements by claiming that fake gold bricks are real. Those who fall prey to cyber criminals stand to lose lakhs of rupees.
Cyber crime cases have reduced due to Operation Anti Virus in Bharatpur range.
