Saharanpur District Cricket Association (SDCA) Treasurer Pali Kalra said that due to the continuous efforts of SDCA Chairman Mohammad Akram, cricket has got a boost in the district. Now not only boys of Saharanpur but also girls are performing brilliantly in the field of sports. Vanshika Saini and Manisha Chaudhary are living examples of this.

Journey from village to state level
Vanshika Saini, who belongs to Hasanpur village of Nakud tehsil, comes from a poor family. Her father Omvir Saini is a truck driver, and Vanshika has worked hard to make her dreams come true. She used to cycle 25 kilometers every day to practice in Saharanpur city. It is the result of her hard work that today she has been able to make her place in the Under-19 T20 team of Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, Manisha Chaudhary, who is the daughter of Saharanpur doctor Om Prakash Singh, has also joined this team on the basis of her talent.
