There is a ban on entering the mythological Shiva temple of Chhoti Kashi i.e. Gola Gokarnath wearing stylish bermudas, jeans, mini skirts etc. The legendary Shiva temple of the city is a symbol of the faith of Hindu society. In the month of Sawan Chaitra, lakhs of devotees come here from far and wide to have darshan.

It is often seen that devotees come to Shiva temple wearing clothes like torn jeans, bermuda, mini skirt etc. Keeping in view the religious decorum, the Shiv Mandir Goswami Management Committee has banned entry into the Shiv Temple by wearing such indecent attire. Besides, taking photo selfies and making reels inside the temple has also been banned.

Shiv Temple Committee Chairman Janardan Giri said that the Shiv Temple of Chhoti Kashi is a symbol of our faith. It is often seen that people take bath in the pilgrimage and reach the temple wearing underwear. Such a decision has been taken keeping religious decorum in mind.
