Bakrid 2024 Date: Before Bakrid, prominent Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind made a big appeal to Muslims on Thursday (13 June). Maulana Arshad Madani, president of prominent Muslim organization Jamiat, said that while sacrificing on Eid-ul-Azha, strictly follow the government guidelines.

Do not share photos of sacrificed animals on social media. Eid-ul-Azha (Bakrid) will be celebrated on Monday (June 17).

What else did Arshad Madani say?

Arshad Madani said, “There is no alternative to sacrifice in Islam and it is a religious duty which is mandatory for every Muslim for whom it is prescribed.” Madani said, “It is important that Muslims take precautionary measures while offering sacrifice.”

He said, “If at any place mischievous elements prevent the sacrifice of buffalo, then some sensible and influential people should take the administration into confidence and then perform the sacrifice.”

Appeal not to throw in drains
Arshad Madani advised Muslims to take special care of cleanliness on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha and said that garbage should not be thrown on roads and drains but they should be buried in such a way that it does not spread foul smell.

Madani said, “Our action should not hurt anyone and in the face of any provocation from communal elements, the matter should be lodged in local police stations with patience.”
