Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will meet the families of the victims of Bahraich violence on Tuesday. Let us tell you that Ram Gopal Mishra had died due to bullet injury in the violence, after which the communal atmosphere kept worsening and rural areas also got affected by it. Yogi will take information about the entire incident from the victim’s family on Tuesday.
Bahraich burnt in the fire of violence
Bahraich went on fire on Monday after the violence during Durga idol immersion and the murder of a youth. When the dead body reached the village, people’s anger flared up further. The angry crowd started protesting by placing the dead body on the road. People entered the town with sticks and set fire to two bike showrooms and a hospital. Went to the village of another community and burnt two houses. DM, SP and forces from nearby districts arrived. PAC personnel also arrived, but could not control the situation till afternoon.
Then ADG LO and STF Chief Amitabh Yash and Home Secretary Dr. Sanjeev Gupta reached Bahraich and took charge. The crowd was dispersed by firing tear gas shells and lathi charge. The administration banned internet services. During this time, CM Yogi Adityanath kept taking information about the entire incident. Instructed the officials that no miscreant who disturbs the communal atmosphere should be spared.
Controversy started regarding idol immersion
Ram Gopal Mishra (24) was shot dead in a dispute that started after objection from another community over DJ playing during immersion in Maharajganj town on Sunday. When Ram Gopal’s body reached home on Monday morning, 5 to 6 thousand people participated in the last journey. An angry mob with sticks and rods reached Mahsi tehsil with the dead body, placed the dead body on the road and started protesting.
Whatever was in the hands of the mob, it was set on fire.
About two thousand people gathered for the last journey of Ram Gopal entered the town and Kabadian Purva and committed vandalism and arson. The entire area remained under the control of the mob for a few hours. Whatever the mob got hold of, it was broken or set on fire. The police were chasing them away with lathicharge and tear gas shells, but people kept gathering again. The ruckus calmed down somewhat after the arrival of more police companies and senior officials.
Case against 10, 26 arrested
In this case, a case has been registered against 10 people including Abdul Hameed, Rinku alias Sarfaraz, Faheem, Raja alias Sahir Khan, Nankau, Maroof Ali. 26 people have been arrested and sent to jail.
The officers who arrived on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi took charge of the situation, the situation is now under control.
When the situation went out of control, the situation came under complete control as soon as senior officers descended on Ground Zero on the instructions of CM Yogi Adityanath. On the instructions of CM, ADG Law and Order Amitabh Yash and Home Secretary Sanjeev Gupta reached the spot.
Four IPS officers, two ASP, 4 DSP were deployed to handle the situation. 12 companies PAC, two companies CRPF and one company RAF are deployed at the spot. The situation in Bahraich is now under control.
