The division bench of AR Masoodi and Subhash Vidyarthi, while giving the verdict on the PIL of Association for Protection of Civil Rights, said that the entire matter will be investigated by October 23. After that this decision will be taken.

The entire day on Sunday was spent in fear of bulldozer action in Maharajganj town of Mahsi tehsil. People remained scared throughout the day in fear of bulldozers, although no action was taken by the administration. While on Saturday people themselves were seen demolishing shops and houses, this trend continued on Sunday also.
There is still silence in Maharajganj town after the incident of stone pelting and Ram Gopal Mishra murder during Durga Puja on October 13. Demolition notices were pasted on the houses of 23 people including the main accused Abdul Hameed, after which there was panic in the town. However, some circumstances have changed in the last two days and people’s shops have started opening. Many shops in the main market of Maharajganj town remained closed on Sunday. Same was the condition of the market situated in the streets inside the town.
