Melbourne. Australia, which was knocked out of the Super 8 after losing to India in the ICC T20 World Cup, is ready for the upcoming series. The Kangaroo team has to play a T20 series against Scotland and then a series with England in T20 and ODI formats. ODI World Cup winning captain Pat Cummins has not found a place in the team going on the tour to England. Mitchell Starc will also not play the T20 series on the tour with the Australian cricket team.

Australia has to play three T20 matches against Scotland and five ODIs against England in September. Cricket Australia said that it was already decided that Cummins would not play under workload management in view of next year’s Champions Trophy. Mitchell Marsh will be the captain of the team. Young batsman Jack Fraser McGurk has got a place in both ODI and T20 teams. Australia is the World Cup champion in the 50-over format and has also won the World Test Championship title but did not reach the T20 World Cup semi-finals.
