This whole matter is about a private school in Melbourne, Australia. ‘News.com.au’ reported that some students of Yarra Valley Grammar School had prepared a list in which ratings were given for the female students studying together. He had used some lewd and derogatory words for ratings.

Such tags and ranks were given along with the photos of girls in the list.

In the list, photographs of girl students were shown according to their rank and accordingly, rating words were used along with those photographs. In the list, a classmate was described as ‘wifey’ (informal word for wife) while a ‘cutie’ (a girl with a cute or attractive personality) tag was used for a student. Apart from these, there were also words like ‘mid’, ‘object’, ‘get out’ and ‘unrapeable’ (which cannot be raped) in the list.

The list went viral on Discord, the principal said – this is shameful

This list containing the ratings of girl students was shared by the mischievous boys on the social media platform Discord, after which the school came to know about it on Wednesday (May 1, 2024). On Friday, four students have been suspended in this matter, while the school termed this action of the students as ‘shameful’.

Speaking to ‘Nine’, Yarra Valley Grammar School Principal Mark Mary said – Respecting everyone is in the DNA of our school. In such a situation, it was like a shock for all of us. As a father, I find it humiliating, shameful and offensive, while as the principal, I have to take some decisions as to what action we should take in this matter.

“Girls’ safety is our first priority…”

According to the principal, “My first concern was about the girls whose names were in that list. I wanted to ensure that they felt safe from the school’s side. We will also consult the police in this matter because the list is like The language used can become a threat in future, this is a very serious matter.
