At least six people have died and seven are missing after a fishing vessel sank, British and Spanish maritime officials said.

The boat was carrying 27 people and was nearly 200 miles off the coast of the Falkland Islands when it got into trouble.

Fourteen people made it on to a life raft and were rescued by two other fishing boats that were nearby when the 176-foot vessel, called the Argos Georgia, sank in the South Atlantic Ocean near Argentina, Spanish authorities said.
