Asia Cup 2023: Lucknow’s Naman gets a chance in the Under-19 Indian cricket team, know the specialty of this player

Anjali Singh Rajput/Lucknow: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the 15-member Indian team for the Under-19 Asia Cup 2023. Naman Tiwari, resident of Lucknow, has also been selected in this team. The command of this team has been handed over to Punjab’s star player Uday Saharan. The tournament is being organized in Dubai. It will start from 8th December, while the final will be played on 17th December. Lucknow’s rising star Naman Tiwari has been included in the team.

In a special conversation with Local 18, Naman told that representing India was his dream since childhood. Participating in this will prove to be a turning point in his career, because from here his future cricket will get a new place. Told that preparations are complete and the aim is to win. Said that my dream is to become the fastest bowler of India and I want to be included in the list of best fast bowlers in the world.

Know about Naman Tiwari
Left arm fast bowler Naman Tiwari has made his mark as a net bowler for Rajasthan Royals in the last two seasons. During this period, he impressed people a lot with his bowling. He got a chance to bowl with fast bowlers like Trent Boult and Navdeep Saini. This left-arm bowler proved his mettle in the 2021-22 Cooch Behar Trophy and 2022 Vinoo Mankad Trophy. Naman Tiwari is a resident of Lucknow. Joined a cricket academy in Lucknow at the age of 12. Naman is also fond of batting.

This has been the journey so far
Naman has played Under-16 cricket for UP and has been a part of the state Under-19 team for two consecutive years. Naman has been a part of the India Under-19 Probable Players Camp for the 2021-22 season and 2022-23 season. He has also been a successful bowler in the 2021-22 Cooch Behar Trophy and 2022 Vinoo Mankad Trophy. Apart from being a contractor, Naman’s father is an agent in an insurance company, while his mother is a housewife.
