Jigsaw: In Bhojpur, Bihar, after calling his wife a witch, people beat her husband to death with sticks (Arrah News). The incident took place on Wednesday in Jethwar village of Tarari police station area of the district. The injured person died during treatment in a private hospital in Arrah on Thursday, after which the family took the body back to the village. The villagers informed the local police station about the incident. As soon as the information was received, the local police station reached the spot and took the body into its custody and sent it to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Meanwhile, the police have arrested two people regarding this incident. The deceased has been identified as 63-year-old Lalan Singh, resident of Jethwar village of Tarari police station area.
‘The dispute has been going on for a long time’
Shiv Shankar Kumar, son of the deceased, told that the house of the people who beat the accused was at a far distance from his house. Since 2010, people from the other party have been continuously abusing his mother by accusing her of being a witch. Whenever someone in their house falls ill, they abuse his mother by accusing her of being a witch, due to which there has been a dispute going on with their people for a long time. Late on Wednesday evening, people from the other party came to his door and beat his father severely with sticks. Due to this he got seriously injured.

Shiv Shankar Kumar further told that he saw that the father fell on the ground in an injured condition. After this, the family took him to Piro Referral Hospital for treatment, from where after giving first aid, he was referred to Ara Sadar Hospital, but instead of taking him to Ara Sadar Hospital, the family treated him in a private hospital located in Ara city. Was done. Where he died during treatment on Thursday.
Raids are being conducted to make arrests – Police
The son of the deceased, Shiv Shankar Kumar, has accused Suresh Singh of the village, his sons Dhanji, Manji, Shankar and Deepak of accusing his mother of being a witch for many years and killing his father by beating him with sticks. However, the police is investigating the matter at its level. At the same time, regarding this matter, the in-charge of Tarari police station said that information of murder by thrashing has been received. Taking immediate action, we have arrested Nandji Singh, son of accused Suresh Singh. Apart from this, raids are being conducted to arrest others.
