On Thursday, during the proceedings of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, something was seen which was shocking. In fact, on the call of CM Chandrababu Naidu, about 160 MLAs stood up from their seats. In fact, CM Chandrababu Naidu had appealed that the leaders against whom cases were registered in the previous YSR government should stand up, and then suddenly about 160 MLAs stood up.

Why did the MLA stand up in the Assembly?

Among those who stood up were CM Chandrababu Naidu himself and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, including Speaker C Ayanna Patradu. However, the Speaker stood up and sat down immediately. Only five MLAs of the ruling party remained seated during this time and all five MLAs belonged to YSRCP. During this, Naidu accused former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy of misusing the police and government machinery as part of revenge politics. CM Chandrababu Naidu himself is accused of alleged scam in Skill Development Corporation. TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu was arrested on 9 September last year. Naidu remained in jail for 53 days and was later released on bail.

During the YSRCP government, cases were registered against many senior TDP leaders including Deputy CM and Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan, Narayana Group founder P Narayana, former TDP state president K Atchannaidu, CM Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh, many Janasena MLAs and BJP MLAs. CM Chandrababu Naidu presented a document in the assembly, claiming that cases were registered against 591 TDP leaders in Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government. Of these, 162 leaders were arrested.

The document also claimed that cases were registered against 24 Janasena leaders, 16 BJP leaders and 12 Congress leaders. Former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy was not present in the assembly when the CM presented this document.
