A traveller carrying a family from Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh to visit Vaishno Devi collided with a trolley. This accident happened at around 2 am near Mohra on the Ambala-Delhi highway. There were a total of 26 people in the traveller. Out of them, six including a 6-month-old girl died and 20 people were injured.

The accident was so tragic that a part of the traveler was completely damaged and the injured fell here and there on the highway. While some injured were stuck in the traveler itself. After hearing the cries, passersby pulled out the injured and with the help of police admitted them to Cantonment Civil Hospital and Adesh Hospital through ambulance.

The bodies were kept in the mortuary for postmortem. Mohda police has started investigating the case. Giving information on the spot, injured Dheeraj said that he had left for Vaishno Devi on the evening of 23 May and all of them are members of the same family. As soon as he reached near Mohda, suddenly a vehicle came in front of the trolley. As soon as the trolley applied brakes, his traveler went out of control and collided.

Husband and wife along with their six month old daughter died

Vinod, 52, a resident of Jakholi in Sonipat, died, Manoj and Guddi, 42, residents of Kakod in Bulandshahr, UP, Maher Chand, an elderly man from Hasanpur, UP, a neighbour, 46-year-old Satbir, a 6-month-old Deepti, both residents of Kakod in UP have died. The condition of some of the injured remains critical.
