Amazon Launches Fire TV Stick 4K With Support for More than 12,000 Apps in India, Know Price, Features

American technology company Amazon has launched Fire TV Stick 4k in India. Some improvements have been made in comparison to the company’s previous streaming devices. The new Fire TV Stick comes with a remote. Its remote has separate buttons for Amazon’s video and music streaming platforms as well as Netflix.

Amazon introduced the Fire Stick Ti third generation two years ago. However, this is the first time that it has launched this streaming device with 4k video quality. Fire TV Stick is in matte black color. Its price is Rs 5,999. Pre-order can be placed for this on Amazon’s website. The company has stated that its sales Will start from 13th May. Amazon Apart from its website, it can also be purchased from online and offline stores of Croma, Reliance Digital and Vijay Sales.

This Fire TV Stick has support for 4k Ultra HD content streaming and HDR10+. It also has Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio. The company claims that this is the most powerful streaming device in its Fire TV series available in the country. A 1.7 GHz quad core processor is provided under its hood. Amazon claims that it is 30 percent more powerful than the previous Fire TV Stick. It has Wi-Fi 6 connectivity with support for 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi bands. Its new Alexa voice remote also has separate buttons for apps. Its single Apps button opens all other installed and video streaming apps.

Its remote has Alexa powered voice input and users can say what they want to see. After this the virtual assistant will show it on the screen. Users can connect their Echo devices to the Fire TV Stick wirelessly through the Alexa app. It gets access to more than 12,000 apps through Amazon’s App Store. These include popular apps like Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5 and Jio Cinema. Apart from this, free content can also be watched on Amazon MiniTV, YouTube and MX Player. It has a low power mode, through which energy can be saved.
