Deployment of paramilitary forces has started in Jammu and Kashmir for the Amarnath Yatra. This time Jammu district has got 24 additional companies of paramilitary forces, which is five to six more than last year. For the first time, apart from deployment on the Amarnath Yatra route, places where pilgrims stay, langars and other places, paramilitary forces are also being deployed at those places where there is a possibility of any untoward incident.

10 companies of paramilitary forces have reached Jammu, which have been deployed in Purani Mandi, Ram Mandir, Peerkho Mandir, Bhagwati Nagar base camp. Apart from this, soldiers have been sent on the entire highway from Purmandal turn to Jhajjar Kotli. This includes the area of ​​Kunjwani, Gangyal, Sidda, Nagrota. Other companies will also reach in the next three to four days.

Apart from these additional companies, Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel will also be deployed. Apart from these places, the police have identified some places in RS Pura, Suchetgarh, Akhnoor, Pargal, Jyodiyan, Khour, Arnia, Abdullian, Miran Sahib area, which can be targeted by terrorists. Paramilitary forces have been deployed at these places. These include companies of ITBP, SSB, CISF.

15 thousand security personnel are being deployed in the entire Jammu district

Overall, about 15 thousand security personnel including paramilitary forces and police are being deployed at different places in the entire Jammu district. 20 percent more security personnel are being deployed this year as compared to last year. SSP Jammu Vinod Kumar says that adequate number of security forces are being deployed for the security of the Yatra. Some sensitive areas have been identified, where there will be special security.
