UP By-Polls 2024: The helicopter of Samajwadi Party national president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav could not take off from Jolly Grant Airport due to low visibility. Now he will leave for his destination on Tuesday morning.
Akhilesh Yadav’s helicopter could not land in Ghaziabad on Monday due to bad weather and fog. After this he was dropped at Jolly Grant Airport. From here he took part in the election rally organized at Meerapur in Muzaffarnagar by road. By the time he reached Jolly Grant Airport to return after the public meeting, it was already dark. Due to low visibility the helicopter was not allowed to take off. Akhilesh Yadav and his colleagues waited at the airport for some time, but due to no improvement in the weather, they had to decide to go to Haridwar.
Overnight stay in Haridwar
After reaching Haridwar, Akhilesh Yadav met local party leaders and workers. Party’s state general secretary Atul Sharma said that the SP president will leave from Haridwar on Tuesday morning. Akhilesh Yadav’s participation in the election rally in Meerapur was important for SP. However, disruption in his program due to bad weather may affect the party’s campaign. Party leaders are hoping that the weather will be favorable on Tuesday, so that their program can be completed without any hindrance.
Air travel in North India is often affected due to fog and low visibility during the winter season. This experience of the SP President also shows the challenges of political programs during the election season. During the night stay in Haridwar, Akhilesh Yadav met local SP leaders and discussed the political situation in the state. During this, he stressed upon the workers to intensify the party’s campaign and strengthen the party’s presence in the upcoming elections.
Due to obstruction in Akhilesh Yadav’s journey due to bad weather and low visibility, his program had to be changed. However, during his stay in Haridwar, he communicated with party leaders and discussed his strategy. Now the party is hopeful that his visit will be completed smoothly on Tuesday, so that SP’s election campaign can move forward strongly.
