Agra Jama Masjid case Allahabad High Court seeks response from opponents 5 August hearing on ASI survey

Agra Jama Masjid Case: A petition seeking a survey of Agra’s Jama Masjid by the Archaeological Survey of India was heard in the Allahabad High Court. The High Court has given time to the Shahi Idgah Mosque Committee to file objections in pending civil case number three. The court has ordered the petitioner to provide a copy of the file to the Central Government and ASI’s advocate Manoj Singh. The case was heard in a single bench of Justice Mayank Kumar Jain.

Allahabad High Court has also sought a reply from the opposition in this matter. The Central Government, UP Government and ASI will also have to file their reply in this matter. The next hearing of this case is scheduled on August 5. In civil suit number three related to the temple mosque dispute of Mathura, a demand has been made to conduct an ASI survey, claiming that the idols kept in Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi are hidden under the stairs of Jama Masjid in Agra.

Now the case will be heard on August 5
Hindu party in the Mathura case and advocate Mahendra Pratap Singh has filed a petition. The petition states that in 1670, Mughal emperor Aurangzeb attacked the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi place in Mathura and looted the idols kept in the temple. It also claims that these idols are kept under the stairs in Jama Masjid in Agra. On the basis of the results of the survey, a plea has been made to the court to recover the idols and place them back at the birthplace. Along with the Central Government and the Uttar Pradesh Government, the Jama Masjid Committee has also been made a party in the petition. The next hearing in this case is now scheduled for August 5.
