New Delhi. The Indian team created history by achieving a thrilling last ball win against South Africa in the final of the ICC T20 World Cup. Team India has become the first team to win the title without losing a single match in the tournament. Team India batted first and scored 176 runs for the loss of 7 wickets on the basis of Virat Kohli’s half-century and Akshar Patel’s 47 runs. In reply, South Africa’s team could only score 169 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Irfan Pathan became emotional while commentating after India’s victory and his voice became choked.

In the ICC T20 World Cup, the Indian team ended the trophy drought that was going on since 2007. After winning the toss against South Africa, captain Rohit Sharma chose to bat first. After three initial setbacks, Virat Kohli along with Akshar Patel rescued the team from trouble. King Kohli played an invaluable innings of 76 runs with the help of 6 fours and 2 sixes in 59 balls. Akshar Patel scored 47 runs in 31 balls. India scored 176 runs for 7 wickets.
