New Delhi. In the semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup, Afghanistan’s team played against South Africa. The whole world was watching this match and something happened in the match which no one had expected. More than half of the team returned before scoring 30 runs and the whole team was reduced to 56 runs. South Africa’s pace trio Kagiso Rabada, Enrique Norkhia and Marco Jansen broke the back of the batting. In 11.5 overs, Afghanistan’s whole team collapsed to just 56 runs.
Afghanistan’s batsmen disappointed badly when they came out with the intention of creating history against South Africa. After winning the toss, captain Rashid Khan chose to bat first but the batting order faltered badly. The team lost 8 wickets before scoring 50 runs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran, Azmatullah Umarzai, Gulbadin Naib, Nangeyalia Kharote and Mohammad Nabi Karim Janat, Noor Ahmed returned cheaply. Captain Rashid stood firm at one end and wickets kept falling at the other end.
