Administration strict on cow slaughter and smuggling in Madhya Pradesh, 70 cases registered in 7 days, 527 animals freed

Madhya Pradesh News: For the past few days, cow slaughter cases are coming to the fore in many cities of Madhya Pradesh. CM Dr. Mohan Yadav took action regarding this and gave instructions for strict action. After the action of the CM, the administration also came into action and 70 cases were registered in just seven days, while action was taken against 124 accused and 527 animals were freed.
 
On June 11, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav had directed all the collectors and SPs of the state to take special action on illegal transportation of cows during video conferencing. Following these instructions, the police conducted a special campaign in the entire state from June 13 to 20 and took strict action on illegal transportation of cows.

Police freed 527 animals
During this campaign, 70 cases of illegal transportation of cows were registered in the entire state. In this, action was taken against 124 accused, 38 vehicles were seized and 527 animals were freed. Here, the police have arrested all the accused who slaughtered cows in different police station areas of Seoni district. The conspiracy to slaughter cows in Seoni district was hatched in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The accused were lured with money to slaughter the cows. The involvement of local people has also been found in this.

After the incident, the police formed different teams to nab the criminals. The case was also being continuously monitored from the Police Headquarters Bhopal, so that the criminals who committed such inhuman heinous crime to disturb the communal harmony could be arrested soon. After taking office, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, during a meeting held at the Police Headquarters in December 2023, the police were instructed to take strict action against the illegal transportation of cows in the state."text-align: justify;">1,121 criminals arrested in 6 months
Following these instructions, the police have registered a total of 575 cases related to illegal cow slaughter in the last six months. In these cases, 1,121 criminals have been arrested and 7,524 cows have been freed. In this operation, 342 vehicles carrying cows illegally have also been seized. Strict action is being taken against those involved in illegal cow transport and cow slaughter. With the help of the police, the administration is running bulldozers on the houses of the accused. 

The houses of four accused of throwing cow remains in a temple in Javra of Ratlam district have been demolished. Similarly, bulldozers have been run on four houses of three accused of cow slaughter in Seoni district. Two houses of the accused in the case of cow slaughter in Noorabad of Morena were razed to the ground.

Special eye on the border
The Police Headquarters prepared an action plan after conducting an in-depth analysis of the trends and routes of illegal transportation of cows in the last 10 years, on the basis of which it became clear to the police that the border districts of the south and west of Madhya Pradesh like Balaghat, Seoni, Chhindwara, Barwani, Khargone, Burhanpur, Ujjain, Ratlam, Neemuch etc. are the most affected by the illegal transportation of cows. 

The police is taking prompt and careful action in all these areas. It has also been learnt that many times criminals involved in illegal transportation of cattle try to take the cattle away from the main roads through jungles and unpaved roads of villages.
