There is a village named Idrishpur in Baghpat district. Every person’s name here includes Shri Ram and Shri Krishna. Aarti of the Lord is performed daily in homes. The whole village keeps singing bhajans for the Lord for hours. There are more than 15 huts in this village, where every week Ramcharitmanas recitation and other religious and cultural programs are held.
Nobody eats meat here
Villager Satbir Singh said that Idrishpur is the city of Lord Ram. This village has been the abode of great and accomplished saints since ancient times. It is because of the inspiration of those saints that the villagers have developed such an attachment towards the Lord. He said that no one in this entire village consumes meat and alcohol. Bhagwat and Ram Katha are organized here every year.

Kirtan happens everyday
All of them are named after the Lord. Here Ramayan is recited once a month and Kirtan is performed every day. No one in this village consumes intoxicants. Everyone is immersed in devotion. People have great faith in Lord Rama and Lord Shri Krishna.
