A similar incident was witnessed in Lucknow’s Era Medical College where an ailing father expressed his wish to get his two daughters married in front of him in the ICU, after which the father’s wish was fulfilled.
51-year-old Syed Junaid Iqbal, a resident of Unnao, was admitted to Era Medical College in Lucknow for 15 days. Junaid had a serious infection in his lungs due to which it was not possible for the doctors to discharge him. His two daughters were getting married this month. The ailing father requested the hospital administration to get his daughters married in the hospital in front of his eyes and after the hospital administration agreed, the daughters were married in the ICU itself.
Let us tell you that the wedding dates of Junaid’s daughters were already fixed, their marriage was to take place on 22 June in Mumbai and the wedding was to take place on 24 June. Due to the father’s ill health, the Maulvi read the Kalma wearing an apron in the ICU and both the daughters got married. On the father’s request, both the sons-in-law also came from Mumbai. The Nikah of Junaid’s elder daughter took place on 13 June at 2 pm and the Nikah of the younger daughter took place on 14 June at 12:30 pm. Both the daughters of Mohammad Junaid work in Mumbai.
