It is said that the history of this mansion built in 1925 is stained with blood. Its first owners were Harold and Florence Schumacher. But both of them died after two years of construction. After two years, a magazine editor Welford Beater and his son Donald came to live here. But within a few months, 21 year old Donald died due to a fatal infection. Terrified, Welford left the house and declared himself bankrupt.
A turning point in 1956
The story took a serious turn in 1956, when Harold Perelson, a doctor, came to live here with his wife and three children. As soon as he arrived, he started drowning in debt. This started a rift with his parents. After a dispute in December 1959, Harold attacked his wife Lillian with a ball-peen hammer while she slept. He was put to death. Tried to attack his sons also.
