Who says miracles don’t happen in this world, in today’s time if money is spent then miracles can happen very easily. Such a miracle was seen in California when a 2 year old boy (Rattlesnake bit 2 year old boy) was bitten by a very poisonous snake. His mother had given up hope of his survival. But the doctor somehow saved him. But the parents had to spend so much money on treatment that you can’t even imagine! If a middle class person gets into such trouble, he cannot even think of spending so much.

According to the report of the New York Post website, in May this year, 2-year-old Brigland was playing at his home in San Diego. His mother Lindsey Peffer was sitting very close to him. Suddenly the mother saw that a South Pacific rattle snake had come into the garden. Rattle snakes are extremely poisonous snakes. If treatment is not done in time, a person may die. The snake bit the child near his finger. The mother immediately called the 911 helpline number and called an ambulance.

By ambulance she took the child to Palomar Medical Center, 25 minutes away, where anti-venom was available. Due to the snake’s venom, blood started clotting in the child’s veins, due to which his hands started turning black. Seeing such a condition of the child, Lindsay felt that he would not be able to survive. He was unconscious, not doing anything. Doctors immediately injected antidote into the child’s bone marrow. When the child became somewhat stable, he was sent to Ray Children’s Hospital, located an hour away. There the child remained in ICU for a few days.

The family spent more than Rs 2 crore
The child was given 30 vials of Anavip antivenom by both the hospitals together. Both the hospitals had charged different prices for the medicine as per their wish. The first hospital provided 10 vials, at a total cost of $95,574 ($9,574 per vial), while the second provided 20, at a total cost of $117,532 ($5,875 per vial). The cost of treatment alone was $213,278 (Rs 1.7 crore), while the total cost of ambulance and emergency room visits, etc., was $297,461 (more than Rs 2 crore). It was good that the family had a health insurance plan, but they had to pay Rs 6 lakh for a hospital visit and now they have to pay Rs 9 lakh for ambulance transportation.
