But as soon as the match started, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja made such an entry that everyone’s attention went to these two all-rounders of India. India has tightened its grip on Bangladesh on the second day of the match and victory seems certain, so Ashwin and Jadeja have the biggest role in this. Everyone is praising both of them. But the way Ravichandran Ashwin praised, very few cricketers do it. While praising Jadeja, Ashwin admitted that somewhere he is jealous of this player.

Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin said after the match ended on Friday, “I always envy him (Ravindra Jadeja) how talented a player he is. He has found a way to bring his potential to the best level. I wish I could be like him, but I am happy with the way I am.”
Being with Jadeja helped
37-year-old Ashwin admitted that having Jadeja at the other end helped him score his century. Ashwin said, ‘He is an exceptional cricketer. Watching him bat over the last few years has also made me realise how much better I can be.’ If we talk about bowling, Ashwin-Jadeja have different styles but whenever both of them come together, they take the team forward.
India has taken a lead of 308 runs
India lost six wickets for 144 runs on the first day of the match i.e. Thursday. After this, Ashwin and Jadeja made a partnership of 199 runs and took the team to a score of 343. Ashwin scored 113 runs while Jadeja played an innings of 86 runs. India’s team was all out within 33 runs after the pair broke. However, the Indian team took a lead of 227 runs in the first innings by bowling out Bangladesh for 149 runs and tightened its grip on the match. By the end of the second day’s play, India has scored 81 runs for 3 wickets. In this way, India’s total lead over Bangladesh became 308 runs.
