New Delhi. Australia’s star fast bowler Mitchell Starc has opened up about his rivalry with Virat Kohli and said that he thoroughly enjoys competing against the Indian batsman. Both these cricketers will once again face each other in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia starting in Perth from November 22.
Starc told Star Sports, “I thoroughly enjoy my battle with Virat Kohli. This is because we have played a lot of cricket against each other. There have been some good contests between us. I have been able to get him out once or twice and there is no doubt that he has scored a lot of runs against me. So it is always a good contest which we both enjoy thoroughly.”
Kohli and Starc have faced each other in 19 innings and the Indian player has been impressive against the left-arm pacer in the Test format. Veteran Indian batsman Virat Kohli has scored 291 runs at an average of 59.00 against Starc’s fast pace. Starc has managed to send Virat Kohli to the pavilion only 4 times.
India will tour Australia later this year. Where they have to play a five-match Test series. This series will start on November 22 in Perth. The next four matches will be played in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. Currently, the Indian team is eyeing the Test series with Bangladesh. Which will start from September 19. The first Test will be played in Chennai. Let us tell you that India and Australia have played 107 Test matches against each other. Australia has won 45 matches, while India has won 32 matches.
