Haryana Khap Panchayat Order: A Khap Mahapanchayat was held in Jind, Haryana on Sunday. The Khap Mahapanchayat demanded a ban on same-sex marriage and live-in relationships. Raghubir Nain, head of Binan Khap, said that many issues were discussed in the Mahapanchayat. He said that the Khap Panchayat is not against love marriage, but the consent of the family members is necessary. Children cannot get married without the consent of the family members. He said that parents cannot wish for the loss of their children.

In such a situation, the wishes of the parents should be respected even on the occasion of marriage. He also demanded to stop marriages within the same gotra. Raghubir Nain said that homosexual marriages and live-in relationships should be banned. He said that how will the children born from live-in relationships get property rights? Homosexual marriage does not happen even among animals. Have humans become worse than animals?

Raghubir Nain said that the representative of the Khap Mahapanchayat will be the Prime Minister Narendra Modi They will meet the Prime Minister and raise the related issues. He said that the representatives will also meet the Leader of Opposition to put pressure on the present government. Raghubir Nain said that if the demand is not met, they will sit on a dharna against the government. He demanded that the government should also amend the Hindu Code Bill. There will be a movement of Khap Mahapanchayat against not amending the Hindu Code Bill and not fulfilling the demand. 300 Khaps were invited for the Mahapanchayat. Representatives of Khaps from Haryana, Gujarat, UP, Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan participated in the Mahapanchayat. Khap Mahapanchayat decided that the government will be asked to amend the law on issues that spoil the social fabric.
