The ninth Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog was held in New Delhi on 27 July. Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired this meeting. Alleging discrimination in the Union Budget, some Chief Ministers of non-BJP ruled states did not attend this meeting. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut also reacted to this and said that the way the budget was made, NITI Aayog will also work accordingly. Let us tell you that from the opposition alliance, only West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee attended this meeting, but she left the meeting midway and came out. She alleged that she was not given a chance to speak in the meeting. Union Minister Chirag Paswan reacted to Mamata Banerjee’s allegation. He termed the behavior of the Bengal CM as wrong.

Chirag Paswan rejected this allegation of Mamata Banerjee. He said, “The allegation of turning off anyone’s mic in the Niti Aayog meeting is a lie. The way West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee left the meeting midway was wrong. It appears that this was a well-planned strategy to create chaos in the opposition and draw attention towards herself. If any state feels that something wrong has happened to them, they can raise their issues in Niti Aayog.”
