US Parliament: Republican American lawmaker Marco Rubio on Friday introduced an anti-Pakistan and anti-China bill in the US Senate. After its passage, India will get the same status as NATO countries, and America will be forced to help India. The purpose of this bill is to deal with the growing influence of China. It also aims to help India overcome the alleged threat posed by Pakistan. This bill aims to stop Pakistan’s help against the threats given by Pakistan against India.

The US-India Defense Cooperation Act introduced in the US Senate supports ‘technology transfer’ to India. Apart from this, it urges the administration to ‘treat India in the same way as the US treats Israel, South Korea and NATO member countries. This bill has been introduced by Republican Party MP Marco Rubio from Florida seat. Rubio has been occupying this seat since 2011 and is a powerful MP of the country.

India’s cooperation is necessary to compete with China
In 2013, Rubio responded to Barack Obama’s State of the Union address on behalf of the Republican Party. In 2015, Rubio also participated in the presidential election. He also won primary elections from many places, but in 2016 he dropped out of the presidential race. The US lawmaker has proposed to strengthen the US-India partnership to compete with China. He says that to compete with China, it is necessary to increase strategic, economic and military relations with New Delhi.

The bill may be presented again in the next session
This proposal also includes that if Pakistan adopts terrorist activities against India, then help to Pakistan should be stopped. This bill talks about giving such advanced weapons to India, which are reserved only for NATO countries. In such a situation, if this bill is passed in America, then Pakistan can get a big shock. Also, India can get a big help against China and Pakistan. However, experts believe that this bill may not be passed in the US House this time, because the session of the House is going to end soon. But there is support from both the parties to increase India-America relations, so it can be introduced again in the next Congress.
