Plantation in Himachal Pradesh: Himachal Pradesh has more than 80 percent forest area. The natural beauty of this place is very much liked by the tourists. To maintain this beauty, a plantation campaign is going on in Himachal Pradesh these days. In this sequence, a plantation campaign will be run on Sunday. One thousand plants will be planted at a time. So that the greenery of the valleys here remains intact forever.
Every year, during the monsoon season, a large number of saplings are planted in different districts of Himachal. However, after planting the saplings, a big question remains regarding their conservation, which is still neglected.
‘One family, one plant’ campaign
In Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla, a target was set to connect one thousand families for plantation under the ‘One Family, One Plant’ program on Sunday. For this, Sunil Upadhyay Educational Trust and Shyamala Educational and Social Welfare Trust along with many other trusts are organizing this program. The organization is making special efforts through the program to reach every household by not limiting this campaign to just planting trees.
Keeping these aspects in mind, children, youth and the elderly will be involved. One thousand saplings will be planted on Sunday at Gol Pahari in Annadale, Shimla. Not only this, the protection of these saplings will also be ensured in the future.
Now emphasis will be given on these aspects too
Shyamala Educational Trust’s president Dr. Nitin Vyas said that this is a big effort in itself. A target has been set to connect one thousand families under this program. Every person participating in this program will plant a tree in the name of his family. Apart from this, the protection of these trees will also be ensured. He has appealed to the people of Shimla to ensure their participation in this program as much as possible. So that the environment can be protected.
Dr. Surendra Sharma, Secretary of Sunil Upadhyay Educational Trust, said that he will also ensure the protection of the plants. Two years ago, plantation was done in the Pawabo area. Here too, the plants are now slowly turning into trees.
