Yellow alert issued today for heavy rain in six districts including Dehradun in Uttarakhand.

There is a possibility of heavy rain across the state today (Sunday). The Meteorological Center has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Nainital and Pithoragarh districts including Dehradun. While there is a possibility of several rounds of heavy rain in other districts apart from Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Tehri, Pauri districts. Talking about the coming days, there is a possibility of heavy rain in all the districts till July 31. A yellow alert has been issued by the Center for all the districts.

Highest rainfall in Mussoorie

Due to the continuous rain for the past few days, difficulties have increased in the state. If we look at the figures, the maximum rainfall in the state was recorded in Mussoorie. Here 53.4 mm of rain fell on Saturday. While the least rainfall was recorded in Pauri, where 8 mm of rain fell throughout the day. Talking about today’s temperature in Doon, the maximum temperature here on July 28 is expected to be 32 degrees and the minimum temperature is expected to be 24 degrees.

Landslide in Tingarh village of Tehri

Due to heavy rains in many areas of Uttarakhand, life has been disrupted. Incidents of landslides have increased. On Saturday, a landslide occurred once again in Tingarh village of Tehri. 15 residential houses were buried under the debris. However, the administration had evacuated these houses in the morning itself, due to which there were no casualties. The villagers have been shifted to Vinakkhal Inter College.

Disaster also came in Uttarkashi

Due to heavy rains in Gunga village of Gram Panchayat Bhangeli, the village’s connecting road, two culverts, drinking water line have been completely damaged. Along with this, there has been damage to the properties along with the erosion of the fields. Village head Praveen Pragyan said that around 1 o’clock in the night, there was a sudden thunder of lightning, and within no time a small drain took the form of a river, due to which many properties of the village have been damaged, which has been informed to the disaster department, SDM, DM and the regional MLA.
