Chapra/Vishal Kumar: There is a famous religious place near Afaur village of Saran district. We are talking about Shri Yogi Baba’s place. There is a banyan tree more than 100 years old at this place. There is a ‘pinna’ near the root under this tree, which has a history of more than 400 years. It is believed that if a woman does not have a child or some work is not successful, then the wish is fulfilled if she prays here. Ashtaayam is performed after the wish is fulfilled
The person who is more capable gets Ashtaayam done here. This is the reason why Ashtaayam is done for 20 to 25 days in a month at this place in Bihar. It is said that devotees from not only Bihar but also other states come here to make wishes. Their wishes are fulfilled if they make wishes with a true heart. Apart from this, marriages also take place here. The charge for which is very low. Many types of facilities are provided here for just Rs 251.
History is 100 years old
Retired teacher Dineshwar Prasad said that this place has a history of more than 100 years. He said that people worship this banyan tree. He said that there is a ‘pind’ under the tree which people ask about. He said that if any kind of wish is made here, the wish is fulfilled. Due to which devotees from other states besides Bihar also come here.
Marriage is conducted for Rs. 251
Jaiprakash Mishra said that not only Bihar but people from other areas of Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Gorakhpur etc. also come to visit Baba. And whoever prays with a true heart, his wish is fulfilled. Rajeshwar Rai said that only cleaning expenses of Rs. 251 are taken from the people getting married here. He said that after taking such a fee, a room, chair, bedsheet, chair, stool and all other facilities are provided. He said that such a low fee is not taken anywhere in Bihar. Only here, Rs. 251 is taken from people as a contribution for cleaning.
