New Delhi. Ever since Gautam Gambhir became the coach of the Indian team, speculations have started about his tenure. Most of the former cricketers congratulated Gambhir for this role. Ravi Shastri, who has been the captain and coach of Team India, said that Gambhir has become the coach at the right age. His experience of IPL 2024 was very good. He will bring new ideas to the team.
Ravi Shastri said in ‘The ICC Review’ show, ‘IPL was great for him. I think he is at the right age, where he is young and has experience too. He will bring new ideas to the team. He knows most of the players. Especially those who are playing in the white ball format.’
Ravi Shastri said that Gautam Gambhir is joining a great team. A team which is mature. Which has enough experience. Overall, this is a team with which you have to recognize its strength. You have to recognize your players, what is their temperament. What is their personality. You have to do a lot behind the scenes to understand your teammates. I think this will be the most important work for him. I also think that Gambhir should not have any problem in this because there is not much difference in age between him and many other players.
Ravi Shastri said that Gautam Gambhir played IPL and after that he was associated as a coach or mentor. Due to this, he has seen most of the players of Team India closely. Therefore, he should not have any difficulty in coordinating with these players.
