Operation Ajay: It has been eight days since the ongoing war between Israel and Palestine-Hamas. There is no sign of a ceasefire between the two sides any time soon. The Indian government is running ‘Operation Ajay’ to rescue the citizens stranded in Israel. So far, a total of 644 Indians have been returned home safely through chartered aircraft. The third batch of 197 Indians from Tel Aviv reached Delhi on 15 October. Harsh Pallav of Gorakhpur, who returned in the first batch from war-torn Israel, narrated a hair-raising story. He told that before the fight started, suddenly the sound of siren was heard on the phone.

Student returned from Israel told the situation

The student told that sirens used to sound four to five times daily in Tel Aviv. There were only 90 seconds to save lives. Had to reach the shelter in 90 seconds. There was a lot of difficulty in reaching a safe place. Harsh Pallav, a B.Tech student at Israel University, says that he had to leave even his food when the siren sounded. Many times the situation came to the point of going hungry. He told that every building in Israel has a bunker. The bunker is a safe place to escape from attacks.

The family heaved a sigh of relief

When the siren sounded, it took 10 seconds to reach the bunker. Harsh Pallav heaved a sigh of relief after reaching his family safely. The family is also very happy on the son’s return to India. Harsh Pallav becomes worried while describing the situation in Israel. On the morning of October 7, Hamas fighters created a sensation by firing five thousand rockets into Israel. After the horrific attacks on Israel, the war continues on the announcement of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Rockets are spewing shells into the sky. The fear of the sound of sirens and explosions can be clearly seen on people’s faces.
