UP News: The CBI investigation into the recruitments done in UP Assembly and Legislative Council has been put on hold. The Supreme Court postponed the decision of the Lucknow bench of the High Court. Let us tell you that a case of recruitment scam had come to light in the Assembly and Legislative Council. The Lucknow bench of the High Court, while hearing the petition, recommended investigation by CBI. After receiving the order, CBI started investigating the recruitment fraud. Now the Supreme Court has put a stay on the order for CBI investigation. The Supreme Court itself has said that it will hear the case.
Supreme Court bans CBI investigation
CBI had registered a PE on September 22 to investigate the recruitments. After registering the preliminary investigation, the CBI team obtained photocopies of the list of job seekers and the recruitment results from the officials of the Legislative Council Secretariat two days ago. Documents related to the selection process of the candidates were also collected. The CBI team had reached the Legislative Council Secretariat after reluctance from the officials. Information was collected on many points including educational documents of the selected candidates, OMR sheet of the examination, selection process of the agency conducting the examination, government order, recruitment advertisement. There was panic after the activation of CBI. It was believed that the CBI team may soon knock on the Assembly Secretariat also.
Assembly appointment fraud case
The officials of the Assembly Secretariat were preparing to give the documents to the CBI team. Efforts were being made to collect documents related to recruitment fraud in the Assembly Secretariat. On the special appeal of UP Legislative Council, the Supreme Court has given decision to CBI to postpone the recruitment fraud case. Further hearing will be held in the Supreme Court. The officials of the sources were continuously reluctant in giving the documents. Sometimes the matter was being prolonged on the pretext of vacation and sometimes on the pretext of illness.
