Nepal Plane Crash : A terrible accident occurred when a plane crashed at Nepal’s Tribhuvan International Airport. The plane crashed just seconds after take-off. A terrible fire also broke out in it. 18 people, including a child, died in this accident. The pilot was badly injured, but new updates have emerged regarding this accident.
There were 19 people on board the Bombardier CRJ-200 plane of Saurya Airlines. The plane was being taken to Pokhara International Airport for regular maintenance.
The pilot of the plane is admitted in ICU
In a statement issued by Nepal’s Civil Aviation Authority, it was told that the injured captain Manish Ratna Shakya has been rescued and admitted to the hospital for treatment, where his condition is said to be very critical. He has to undergo surgery on his spine. He has been kept in the ICU. 18 people have lost their lives in the accident. The deceased have been identified as co-pilot S. Katwal, an airline employee and a Yemeni citizen Aref Reda.
This came to light after the accident
In this accident, Saurya Airlines technician Manu Raj Sharma and his wife Prija Khatiwada along with their 4-year-old son Aadi Raj Sharma also lost their lives. The deceased technician’s wife Prija Sharma worked as a computer operator in the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation. After the accident, it was also revealed that Prija Sharma and her son were initially identified as employees of the company, but later it was found out that they were traveling as passengers.
15 people died on the spot
According to media reports, out of the 18 victims of the accident, 15 died on the spot. While three people died during treatment. Out of all these, only Captain Shakya survived, who is also undergoing treatment in a hospital in Kathmandu.
investigation committee formed
When the entire accident was investigated, it was revealed that the plane going from Kathmandu to Pokhara had turned in the wrong direction. It had to turn left, but it turned right. Although the reason behind the accident has not been known yet, an investigation committee has been formed for this and 45 days have also been given to submit the report.
