Also, the soldiers trapped in heavy rains for the last 5 days in Bijapur district of Bastar division have been rescued by helicopters, apart from this, hundreds of villages have turned into islands and water is visible all around, according to the information received from the Meteorological Department, there is a strong possibility of heavy rain in the districts of the entire state along with Bastar division for the next 48 hours.

Rain wreaked havoc in different districts
According to the information, a villager was swept away in the strong current while crossing a drain in Kanker district, while an innocent died after being swept away in the drain in Balod district. In Kawardha also, a tractor trolley overturned while crossing the bridge due to the strong current of the river and five people narrowly escaped in this accident. Apart from this, a mountain boulder broke and fell on the road in Bodla, while the pitching on both sides of the bridge in Dallirajhara was washed away.

According to information received from the police of Balod district, a 3-year-old child was swept away in a drain while playing in a village in Dondilohara police station area. Apart from this, a villager died after being swept away by the strong current while crossing the river in Tursani village of Koylibeda block of Kanker district.

It is being told that farmer Dhaniram had crossed the river to work in his field located at Gudibeda on the other side, and while returning in the evening, due to continuous rain, the water level of the river increased and he was swept away in the strong current, due to which he died.

According to the information, a few days ago, there was an encounter between the police and the Naxalites in the Ilmidi area of ​​​​Bijapur, and while returning, the soldiers got stuck in the flood in the Pengul river of Telangana.

For about four days, the Greyhounds soldiers were stranded in the jungle without ration and food items. Five days ago, the soldiers had come to the border of Bijapur and Telangana for the operation, but while returning, the soldiers got stranded due to bad road and rising water level of the river amid heavy rains.

On receiving the information about the soldiers being stranded, the officers rescued the policemen trapped in the jungle by helicopter and brought them to Wazed. It is being told that after being stranded in the jungle for about 5 days, the soldiers are feeling unwell, due to which the soldiers were rescued by the army helicopter and carried on the shoulders to the bus. At present, the condition of all the soldiers remains stable. However, despite this heavy rain, the soldiers are continuing anti-naxal operations in many areas.
