According to the Kathmandu Post, a Saurya Airlines plane crashed while taking off from Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport on Wednesday. TIA spokesperson Premnath Thakur said that there were 19 people on board the plane going to Pokhara, including the crew. The plane crashed at around 11 am. Police and fire department personnel are carrying out rescue operations at the accident site. After the accident, the entire area is covered in smoke.

According to Kathmandu Post, this accident happened in Saurya Airlines plane at Tribhuvan International Airport in the capital. Quoting airport sources, Kathmandu Post wrote, the plane slipped from the runway during takeoff, due to which this accident happened. This plane was going from Kathmandu to Pokhara and a total of 19 people were on board. At the same time, after the accident, the plane caught fire and a huge cloud of smoke covered the sky. A team of firefighters and security personnel has been deployed to extinguish the fire in the plane due to the accident.
