New Delhi, July 23 (Language) Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav on Monday termed the announcements made for Andhra Pradesh and Bihar in the Union Budget as an attempt to “save the government” and alleged that the government has ignored the farmers, youth and the entire country.

He also said that the youth of the country do not want half-hearted jobs, but permanent jobs.

Reacting to the Union Budget today, Yadav told reporters in the Parliament House complex, “Big things are said on the basis of figures, but the projects which are underway have not been completed on time… If the government has to be saved, then it is a good thing that Bihar and Andhra Pradesh have been linked with special packages or special schemes.” When asked that the entire focus has been given to Bihar and Andhra Pradesh… Akhilesh said that this is so that a bigger package can be given to those states to form the next government. Uttar Pradesh gave the PM to the country, what else is needed?

He asked, ‘‘Are there any big decisions for the farmers of Uttar Pradesh, which gives the Prime Minister?

Yadav alleged that big announcements were made last time regarding the Mandi in Uttar Pradesh, but not even a single Mandi was built.

He also alleged that the central government has increased unemployment and now it is talking about half-hearted jobs and internships.

He said, ‘‘ People are being shown the dream of a job by doing training and internships. The youth of the country wants a permanent job to build their future.’’

Yadav asked if there will be reservation in half-baked jobs and what are the arrangements for permanent jobs through this budget?

He said that if ‘GIFT’ city can be built in Gujarat, then why can’t it be built in Varanasi or Gorakhpur.

The former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh alleged that the entire country has been ignored in the budget.
