Madhya Pradesh News: The Chief Executive Officer of Dewas Authority of Madhya Pradesh divided the land of two places into three parts and sold it at a low price below the collector’s guideline. Due to this, the government has suffered a loss of Rs 2 crore 53 lakh. When the complaint of this case reached the Lokayukta police, the police investigated the entire matter thoroughly.

On finding the complaint true, Lokayukta Police Ujjain has registered a case. Now the problems of the Executive Officer and others have increased. Lokayukta Superintendent of Police Anil Vishwakarma said that in the year 2005-06, the then Chief Executive Officer of Dewas Development Authority RS Agasthee had divided the Vikas Pradhikaran’s shopping complex and two plots into parts A, B and C at a price lower than the collector’s guidelines.

Apart from this, financial loss of about Rs 2,53,78,433 was caused to the Authority by selling the property at cheap and low prices to the buyers Dhanraj father Hiralal Agarwal, Sunita wife Sharad Agarwal and Deepa wife Manish Agarwal residents of Dewas under a conspiracy without the approval of the state government. In this case, a complaint was made in the Lokayukta Headquarters Bhopal by the then MLA Antar Singh Darbar.

Case registered under these sections
After being found guilty in the preliminary investigation, the then chief executive officer RS ​​Agasthi and property buyers Dhanraj Agarwal, Sunita Agarwal and Deepa Agarwal were booked under sections 13(1)C, 13(2)D of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and 409, 120 and the investigation is underway.

The local police has registered 90 cases so far in the year 2024. Ujjain is the district of the Chief Minister and Ujjain division comes under the Lokayukta police. Many of these cases are of people being caught red-handed taking bribes. The Lokayukta police is also continuously registering crimes of misuse of power.
