Two of the three Kanwariyas who were going by bike to collect Gangajal from Haridwar have died in a road accident. The third youth is seriously injured. After the post-mortem in the late evening, their bodies have been sent to their native village.
According to the police, three youths were going towards Haridwar on a bike on Saturday. Near Mundiyaki village, a truck hit the bike riders from behind due to which two youths died on the spot, one was seriously injured. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot. The police has admitted the injured to AIIMS Rishikesh.
Kotwali in-charge Inspector Amarchand Sharma said that Manvendra, resident of Bahadurpur Rahchoi Kotwali Chharra district Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh and Amit (28), resident of village Kamouna, police station Chhatari, district Bulandshahr, died in the accident.
Amit’s aunt’s son Bunty was seriously injured. He is undergoing treatment at AIIMS Rishikesh. He told that Manvendra works in a private company in Delhi. Amit works in Dadri.
