According to the information, the Naxalites ambushed the soldiers returning from search operation in the Mandimarka jungle of the Tarrem police station area of the district and carried out an IED blast using a pipe bomb. Two soldiers were martyred in this incident while four were injured.
It is being told that the soldiers of CRPF, Cobra, CAF, DRG and STF were out on an anti-naxal operation. On Wednesday, the soldiers were returning when a pipe bomb planted by the Naxalites blasted in the forests of Mandimarka in the Tarrem police station area last night.
In the incident, STF head constable Bharat Lal Sahu and constable Sater Singh were martyred. While Purushottam Nag, Komal Yadav, Siyaram Sori and Sanjay Kumar were injured. The injured have been brought to Bijapur district hospital for better treatment, where they are undergoing treatment.
