This time it is being claimed that China is building a military base in Kazakhstan adjacent to PoK and this work has been going on for decades. This has been revealed in a report by The Telegraph, in which it has been told citing satellite images that China has been building a military base in Kazakhstan for about a decade. It is at an altitude of 13 thousand feet. Kazakhstan became an independent country after separating from the Soviet Union Russia.
China told the media reports that they are wrong
As soon as such news came in the media, China has responded. The Chinese Embassy said, the news running in the media about the Chinese military base in Kazakhstan is completely false and baseless. This issue is not even included in the China-Kazakhstan agenda. In fact, Maxar Technologies has shared some pictures taken from the satellite, regarding which it has been claimed that China is building a secret military base. The walls of the military base and the incoming and outgoing paths are visible in the pictures.
Counter terror base is strategically important
Media reports also claim that both countries have installed surveillance towers at this military base. The place where the military base has been built is strategically very important and is on the Afghan border. It has been built at an altitude of about 4 thousand meters on the mountain. A report in the Economic Times says that both the countries have built it in the year 2021 and it has been named Counter Terror Base. China is strengthening its hold in Central Asia through this military base.
