The Naxals had dumped such a large quantity of explosives in order to carry out a major incident, but the soldiers launched an operation on the information of the presence of the Naxals and finally succeeded in seizing the dumped material. However, the Naxals fled from the spot on getting information about the arrival of the police. According to Kondagaon SP Akshay Kumar, with the amount of explosives recovered, the Naxals could have carried out a major incident, but the soldiers have foiled the nefarious designs of the Naxals.

In fact, Operation Monsoon is continuing against Naxalites in Bastar even during the rainy season. Apart from the paramilitary forces and district police forces deployed on the Naxal front in all the seven districts of Bastar division, continuous operations are being launched by DRG and STF jawans. Despite heavy rains, the jawans are raiding the hideouts of Naxalites.

Search operation conducted
SP Akshay Kumar of Kondagaon district said that the Iragaon police and DRG team which went on Operation Monsoon got information about the presence of Naxalites in the jungles of Iragaon, after which the operation was launched under the leadership of Farasgaon and Keshkal SDOP and a search operation was conducted in the area, however, on getting information about the arrival of the soldiers, the Naxalites fled from the spot.

Dumped explosives recovered
During the search operation, the Jawans made temporary camps in dense forests and succeeded in seizing explosives and daily use items dumped by the Naxals. The Jawans seized a large quantity of ammonium nitrate, more than 10 arrow bombs, 5 pressure cookers, a large quantity of batteries, wires, cordex wires, gelatin, fuse wires, remotes as well as Naxal literature and daily use items of the Naxals from the temporary camp.

Operation Monsoon continues against Naxalites
Kondagaon SP Akshay Kumar said that the operation against Naxalites will continue even during the rainy season, the police team will keep launching operations by collecting information about the presence of Naxalites as much as possible, the search operation of DRG jawans is going on continuously in the district, due to which the penetration of Naxalites has also started weakening in the area.

Due to connectivity in almost all the places in the Naxal area of ​​Kondagaon district, the Maoists are not able to make any big movement, but the Naxalites keep moving around in the area from time to time. Meanwhile, in this rainy season, finding such a huge amount of explosives and Naxal literature at one place is a big loss for the Naxal organization, but at the same time, it is a big success for the police.
