After winning the five-match T20 series against Zimbabwe by 4-1, the Indian team has to play a three-match T20 series on the Sri Lanka tour. It will start from July 27. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not announced the team yet.
After the retirement of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, changes are certain in the team. On the Zimbabwe tour, BCCI handed over the captaincy to Shubman Gill. Under his leadership, the Indian team had to face defeat only in the first match. After this, the team won all four matches. On this tour, many senior players like Hardik Pandya, Jaspreet Bumrah, Rishabh Pant were given rest.
