KP Sharma Oli to PM Modi: Nepal’s newly appointed Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli has made his stand clear regarding India. After taking oath as PM, he said on Monday (15 July) that he is committed to working with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi to strengthen Nepal-India relations and take bilateral relations to new heights. China may also be upset with this statement of his, because the newly appointed PM K.P. Sharma Oli has been continuously described as a supporter of China.

PM Modi congratulated K.P. Sharma Oli on becoming the Prime Minister of Nepal for the fourth time, in response to which he thanked PM Modi for his heartfelt wishes. Nepal’s Prime Minister Oli said, “Thank you for your heartfelt congratulations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I am committed to working with you to strengthen Nepal-India relations for mutual benefit. Together we can take our historical relations to new heights.”

Pushpa Kamal’s government lost the trust vote

In fact, Oli, the chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN-UML), was appointed the country’s Prime Minister for the fourth time on Sunday to lead the new coalition government. Oli (72) has replaced Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, who lost the trust vote in the House of Representatives on Friday. The special thing about Oli is that he has been doing politics since the age of 12. He formed the Communist Party after spending 14 years in jail. After this, he took oath as the Prime Minister of Nepal for the first time in 2015.
