Kota News Today: The government has prepared a special plan to provide employment to the youth of Rajasthan. Under this, students will be prepared for jobs along with education at the college level. The commissionerate has selected 50 colleges in the state for this.

In which three colleges of Kota have also been included. Now job oriented skill based courses will be conducted in government colleges. Due to which students will be able to easily get jobs in the industry after completing the course.

The special thing about professional courses is that during the course of studies, students will also be given internships. This will not only develop the skills of the students but will also prepare them as professional employees according to the needs of the market.

The Commissionerate of College Education has started new job oriented skill based courses along with the traditional degree courses of B.Com and B.Sc in government colleges. Three colleges of Kota city have been included in this.

These courses are included in the scheme
These include two science and one commerce colleges. Preparations have also begun at the college level. Preparations are going on in full swing in the colleges of Kota which have been included in this project.

According to the circular issued by the Commissionerate, BSc Life Science, Health Care course is being offered in Government Science College and JDB Science College of Kota city and BCom Retail Management, Logistics course is being offered in Government Commerce College.

In this, only general courses will be conducted during the first year classes. Apart from this, there will be separate papers for everyone and classes will also be held separately.

‘These courses will not be compulsory’
Professor Himanshu Garg, nodal officer of B.Com Retail Management and Logistics course at Government Commerce College, said that there will be no separate admission process for admission in both the courses.

He informed that currently the admission process is going on in B.Com first year. Out of the students taking admission in B.Com general course, top-50 students will be given admission in these two professional courses on the basis of merit list.

Professor Himanshu Garg said that taking admission in these courses will not be compulsory but optional. Students who want to study retail management and logistics can do so and there will be no pressure on those who do not want to study it. They can study their general course.

‘Students will be able to give competitive exams’
One hour class will be held for both the courses. There will also be semester wise papers. Its exam will be conducted through Kota University. Students of employment oriented skill courses will also be able to appear in competitive exams.

During this time, internship will be conducted in the 6th semester. BSc Life Science, Health Care in Science College and BCom Retail Management and Logistics courses in Commerce College will have a total of 20 credits.

One credit is of 25 marks, thus 20 credits have a total of 500 marks. These will be semester wise like normal courses. These courses will be conducted from the current session itself.

The government has made provision for internship and training in every session in the design of new courses. This will enable students to get acquainted with the requirements of the market and companies will be able to get professional employees.

This will make it easier for students to get jobs after completing the course. These degrees will be considered equivalent to graduation in competitive exams, so one can easily get into government service. The syllabus of all the courses has been finalized.
